This week happened the Dior Cruise 2020 show in Marrakech. I watched it online, and I was charmed once again by the brand’s amazing work.<\/p>\n
Dior is one of the leading brands on the luxury fashion market, and is increasingly working towards a more responsible and sustainable fashion business. This time, the collection was created through collabs with artists, designers and craftsmen from Africa, to truly honor local work and art.<\/p>\n
Beyond that, all the pieces are made within an entirely traceable production chain. So we know exactly where and how each piece was made. Isn’t it incredible? The concern with traceability\u00a0of the production should be a rule for every brand!<\/p>\n

The highlights go to the patterns, a recreation of the “toile de Jouy” \u00a0made in Ivory Coast, to the hair accessories made by Stephen Jones, an english hatter, and Daniella Osemadewa, nigerian. And to the shirt signed by Path\u00e9\u2019O, Nelson Mandela’s tailor.<\/p>\n
