The designer Zuhair Murad was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1971. The love about lush dresses came early. “While my classmates used to draw airplanes and trucks, I used to draw sketches of dresses, which I would give them to my mother later.”
Where did your inspiration for this collection came from? It came from the supermodels from the 90’s and Las Vegas night. The aim of this show was to expand the daytime portfolio pieces within the collection. But I want to say something, it wasn’t basic at all! Lol
Zuhair starts the show with lace, transparencies, velvet and a total black.
Ruffles in layers printing volume to beautiful dresses.
Well marked waist, mermaid modeling, puffed sleeves, mulets, slits and plunging necklines.
That’s amazing how he uses this information into coherent compositions, cohesive and super powerful.
Covers, tight dresses on the body, overalls, sets with pants.
Color points of small flowers and urban buildings prints, and of course, much embroidery.
As accessories: hats, slim chockers, thick belts with buckles, which definitely won me over!
People, I’ll confess, I loved everything!
