STREETWEAR TREND: TRENDY OR OVER IT?

Hello my loves, how are you doing ? Today, another post about trends, I wanted to debate something interesting with you guys.

It’s nothing new that fashion has a more sporty vibe nowadays and the streetwear is dominating the market for quite awhile now. Sneakers, sweatpants, fanny-packs, caps, are the highlights of some luxury brands today. I recorded a video on my YouTube channel explaining how to dress and follow this trend!

High luxury brands have adapted their collection for a more urban style, and the pieces are selling like crazy. The streetwear has definitely a place in every fashionista’s heart!

Let’s see some recent looks from the runway, inspired by this trend:

On the other side, many brands, and consumers too, have a different point of view. They think this trend has been overdone, and it’s time for a change! For them, fashion should be worried in walking towards the future, presenting more creative designs, not only based on what they are already seeing on the streets.

It’s the same old story, fashion trends are constantly changing. It’s not weird that many people are already over this streetwear trend and are aiming for novelty or interesting styles from the past decades.

With this in mind, many brands are working more with artisanal techniques, high-quality fabrics and different styles. Check it out:

I got to confess that I love both ideas! I don’t believe it would be necessary to choose only one trend, the best case scenario would be to mix them all and create cool ensembles.

A couture dress could be worn with sneakers, for example. The biker shorts (as you can see here), could be styled with a blazer and high-heels to look more elegant. There are many possibilities out there!

What is your thought about this topic? Are you still in love about streetwear or it’s so last year?

I would love to know what do you think!

Bisou, bisou.
